The latest is that Tucker is now retired from agility at the age of 10 1/2. Dad rescued a lab mix in June. Her name is Lindsey, officially Jersey Shore Lindsey Lou Who. Lindsey is taking obedience classes and just started agility class.

As for Logan, he trialed this weekend. No Qs, but some nice runs and he and Mom are getting back in sync. Logan did finally get an Open JWW Q in September.

Riley only competes in CPE. He has earned 2 Colors s this fall.

Logan and Riley will be trialing again in late November. I hope to get Mom to post the results.

]]> <![CDATA[October 25-26, 2014 - PBGV AKC Trial]]> Mon, 27 Oct 2014 10:22:36 GMT Mom, Logan and Tucker have been on a winter hiatus from agility. Their last trial was in mid-December. Tucker had a bunch of Qs and Logan had a Q. They missed a few runs due to the bad weather.

Snow, ice and cold has curtailed much of their training this winter. Mom has converted the living room into a training room to get us some exercise. She even bought us a doggie treadmill.

Logan and Tucker's next agility outing will be in late March. Check back to see how they do. Tucker is 1 Q away from a level 3 CPE title and 2 Qs away from another. By then he will be 10. Not too bad for an old guy.

Riley got to go along for the day to get acclimated to the trial envrionment and I got to stay home and hang out with Dad.

Logan had 4 runs each day, unfortunately he did not Q. On Saturday his Standard run was alphabet soup, Mom's not sure what went wrong. A few weeks ago a friend said I was over handling Logan that I should let him go, and that in doing so he may knock a few bars...hope that was the case this weekend. As I heard Mom say, there were some good spots in the runs, getting his rear crosses.

As for Tucker, he worked hard but he too did not get a Q. His T2B run on Sunday he was moving well, but went off course at the first tunnel. Oh well, better luck in two weeks. Maybe Mom will let me tag along for a change and leave the puppy home.

]]> <![CDATA[May 4-5, 2013 - SICTDC AKC Trial]]> Sun, 05 May 2013 05:33:35 GMT Logan and Mom took a road trip the Pennsylvania to attend the Flexi CPE trial. Mom tried to go to this site twice last year, the first time she had to pull out because she was sick and the second time because of a hurricane. She finally made it this time.

They had a goal to finish up Logan's Level 1 by getting their Colors Q. I am happy to say that they got the Q with a 1st Place....yah, Logan earned his CL1-H and finished CL1. He also Q'd in Standard L3 and FullHouse L2.

]]> <![CDATA[April 21, 2013 - Flexible Flyers CPE Trial]]> Sun, 21 Apr 2013 05:36:28 GMT Mom was off to her first two day trial of the year. She took Logan and Tucker this time and Riley even went along to get acclimated to the trial environment.

Tucker only ran in Excellent Standard, and though he had two nice runs he did not Q either day. Maybe next time.

Logan too had some nice runs, showing in Standard, JWW and FAST each day, but he too came up short with no Qs.

]]> <![CDATA[March 30-31, 2013 - Afghan AKC Trial]]> Sun, 31 Mar 2013 05:36:28 GMT Well Mom was off to the first trial of the season. This time she only took Logan to run, as I am now in semi-retirement after Mast Cell Tumor surgery last June. I thought I heard that I would be trialing in CPE next month. Mom did bring Riley along, something about getting him used to the trial environment.

Logan had a early morning Ex FAST run, but no Q. Then they had a 5 hout wait until his Open Standard run. Though he had a nice run, he missed the weaves and did a few run bys. Mom took responsibility as she said she was a bit off after the long delay.

Next was Open JWW and Logan knocked the first two bars and then "belly flopped" on the triple...I guess the bad beginning just put them off their game.

Well, better luck next time...which I think is the end of this month. I think Tucker will also be running at that trial.  Check back at the end of the month.

]]> <![CDATA[February 15, 2013 - BCDC AKC Trial]]> Fri, 15 Feb 2013 12:00:00 GMT Another AKC trial for Logan. Logan's first run of the day was Open FAST. Mom loves when FAST is his first class of the day as it gives him a chance to run off the zoomies. As it turns out he Q'd with a second place and earned his Open FAST title (OFP). He will be running in Excellent FAST in his next trial.

His Open he had one knocked bar, so no Q but an improvement for him. His Open JWW he had 2 refusals at the weave poles, so no Q. Mom took the blame as she did not get him set right for the entry.

All in all not a bad way to end the 2012 agility season. We are all on a 2 month agility hiatus for the winter. See you again in February 2013.
