Tucker and I had our first outdoor trial of the year this weekend and we were trialing two days. Mom has been sick so on Saturday she was not running well. She was pleased with our runs but neither of us Q'd. Maybe next month we will Q.

Sunday, Mom was feeling better and I just missed Qing in Excellent Std by 3 seconds. I guess I should not have stopped at the top of the A-frame and waited a few seconds before descending.

Tucker was running well. His times were good but he did knock a few bars, but not too many. He even completed the send bonus in Open FAST, though it was too late to get the 20 point bonus.

We even brought Logan along to start getting used to the agility trial environment. Mom was very pleased at how good he was...other then him trying to jump on people that he was greeting. He was quiet in his crate, unlike Tucker who whines and carries on when Mom takes me to run a course.

Tucker and I went to the SOJAC trial today. Came home empty-pawed and we so wanted to bring Mom home a Q for her birthday. Tucker had a good Jumpers run, had it not been for Mom messing him up at the weave poles. She should have done the front cross she planned on during the course walk. His Standard run was going great until he decided to bail on the dogwalk. A friend told Mom it was a hard entry and that she should have shaped it better. Mom sometimes forgets that running Tucker is like running a Mack truck,, he doesn't turn on a dime.

As for me, well, my Standard run seemed to be going well. I was even moving well, then I jumped off the teeter and then jumped off the dog walk. I never jump off of contacts...what's up with that? As for my Jumpers run, run is the optimal word, I wasn't running so Mom pulled me off course.

Mom wasn't feeling well, so she scratched us both from our FAST run.

Oh, well, better luck next time. On to our first outdoor trial of the year in a few weeks.

Well Tucker and I went to our second agility trial of 2010.  Mom said she was please with our runs even though neither of us earned a Q. She took the blame saying she was trying some new handling tehcniques with each of us.

She was thrilled that we both nailed all our weaves for the day. Tucker's jumping has improved and his time for jumpers was great. As for my jumpers run, the ring was running early and Mom didn't get to walk it for very long, so for the first time she can remember she got a bit lost on course. We made it through without an wrong course but I took down one bar and we were over time.

As for my standard run, I was the comic relief for the day. I decided to go look at the chute rather then take the second jump. When Mom tried to get me back on course, I tried going through the wing stantion, knocking over the whole jump. The rest of the run was fine.

All in all we had fun. Muybe we will Q next time.

Tucker and I had our first agility show of 2010. We were only trialing for the one day and Mom was looking at it as a warm-up trial. I had some good runs, but did not Q.

Tucker's last run of the day at 5:30 was Jumpers with Weaves. Even with a few bobbles at the weaves poles he Q'd, which finally earned him his Jumpers with Weaves Preferred title. We are all so excited that he can finally move up to Open.

Congratulations Tucker!!!!

We had a big snow storm yesterday, getting over a foot of snow. Mom took us out to play in it today. Tucker and Logan raced around and bounded through the snow drifts while I ambled along. Mom took bunches of pictures, even one of me using the A-frame as a shortcut to get away from Tucker and Logan.
We had loads of fun and when it was over we went in and all took a nap.
