My name is Weymouth's Scottish Brodie or Brodie for short. I am a 12 year old black Labrador Retriever. I am now retired from competing in the sport of dog agility as is my brother Weymouth's EnglishTucker who is 10. My other brothers, who are also black labs are, Black Sands Irish Logan who is 5, and Beechcroft's Life of Riley, who is 2. Logan and Riley compete in agility. Dad rescued a lab mix in June. Here name is Jersey Shore Lindsey Lou Who, she is one and is in training for agility. My blog lets's me share our agility experiences. I hope you enjoy it.

Mom took Tucker and Logan to the trial today, I had to stay home as I only finished my radiation treatments last week. I had a Mast Cell Tumor removed from my leg in June. They did not get it all so I had to undergo 3 weeks of radiaton.

Logan had a wonderful Novice Standard run on a challenging course, but failed to complete the weave poles. He did Q in Novice JWW to earn his NJP title. Mom was very pleased with his runs. Tucker had some nice runs, but did knock a few bars.

Tucker and I were not entered in the trial, as it was outside in June at a site that is often very hot. Logan was entered as he is less sensitive to the heat. As it turned out on Friday I went to the vet to meet with an onocologist because of a mass on my right front leg. I was scheduled for surgery on Saturday to remove the mass.

Logan got to run both days, and on Friday afternoon since Mom was with me and Dad at the vet, Aunt Robin ran him in his Standard run. They had a nice run but did not Q.

Logan had some nice runs both days but did not Q. Overall MOm was pleased with his showing.

I came through surgery okay, but the surgeon was not able to get all of the tumor out, so I will be undergoing radiation treatments for 3 weeks. The oncologist says that once the radiation is over I should be able to return to agility. Mom will have to decide, as I will be 11 next month.

We are all off from trialing until early August. Enjoy July!!!

Another CPE trial this weekend. I had a great weekend Qing 6 of 7 runs over two days annd earning my CSL4-F title. I would have Q'd my last event, but for bad handling by Mom.

Logan had three Qs. Tucker Q'd in Standard to earn is CL2-R title, so he is in level 3 in all events.
All in all it was a fun weekend, again I showed up my younger siblings. Mom was so pleased with my results.

Tucker and I do not trial again until August. Logan will be showing in AKC in a few weeks.

This weekend Mom left me home and only took Tucker and Logan to a CPE trial. Not sure why, but I stayed home with Dad and got a bully stick as a treat.

It seems Mom wanted to work Logan on start line stays and see if he could finish two Level 1 titles. At the last minute she decided to take Tucker to see if he could finish his Level 2 Standard title, which would put him in Level 3 in all his events.

So, you ask, how did they do? Logan Q'd in 3 of 5 events and earned one of the titles, his CL1-S (strategy) title. He also did much better with his start line stays. Mom was not able to lead out, but he was not bolting off of the start line....YAH!!!!
Tucker Q'd in 2 of 3 events AND earned his CL2-R (standard) title....yah whoopee...on to Level 3. Maybe this is a good omen to him getting his AKC Open Standard title soon.

So all in all it was a very successful agility day for Mom and my brothers. I get a turn in two weeks when all three of us go to a CPE trial and I have two days to rack up Qs.

Another 2 day outdoor trial, with many hopes of earning a few titles, but yet again it did not happen.  I had some great runs, missing a few Qs by only a second or two, so Mom was pleased with my performance. I did decide to jump off the table on Saturday to visit the judge. I guess I am too social.

Logan did get his first Q in Open FAST with a First Place finish. He had an awesome Novice JWW run on Saturday, but had a wrong course fault. His Novice Std run on Sunday was close, but a tight turn from a double to the broad jump made hm hit the broad jump. So, close but not there yet.

Tucker had a clean Ex B JWW run but was over time and his Sunday Open Std run was awesome, except he knocked the triple. He just could not get the moment to get over it after coming off the dog walk. He had no trouble with the A-frame all weekend, which as of late has been a problem. He also improved by only knocking one spread jump all weekend.

Progress is being made. I hope we have the breakthrough weekend soon, if only for Mom's sake. She so wants us to get these titles.
