Mom took a few months off from competing, but we will be back in action on February 19. Logan will be making his AKC agility debut...woohoo Logan, he finally learned weave poles. In October Mom tried retraining his weaves using a different technique..two-by-twos. That's how I learned weave poles. Why did it take Mom sooooo long to figure out that maybe it would work for Logan.

It will be a busy day for Mom as she will be running all three of us. I am in two Excellent classes, Tucker is in two Open classes and Logan is in two Novice classes. I hope for Mom's sake she does not have too many conflicts. Check back to see how it goes.

Well, this was our last agility trial of the year. We were on the road by 5AM to head to Dream Park in South Jersey. Neither Tucker nor I had a Q this weekend, but Mom seemed to think we had some good runs. I was better at my weave poles, but knocked a few bars. If I had not had any faults I would have Qd in both of my Standard runs...which means I made time.

Tucker only knocked a few bars, which is great for him. Everyone says his jumping has improved. He nailed all of his weaves. He too would have Qd in both Standard runs if he had been clean.

Friday night we stayed in a hotel. We got to sleep in bed with Mom. Logan was at home with Dad. On Saturday we both got massages, which felt great.

So, we have a few months off to rest up, get in better shape and work on a few skills. Logan finally can do six weave poles, so he may be joining us at our next trial. Mom says we will probably start trialing again in February.

Tucker and I were entered for two days of the BCDC agility show this weekend. Even though Mom says I am a 'mudder' she was glad we were not entered on Friday when it rained all day.

Saturday I had two nice runs, running a few seconds over time but could have Q's had I not had a few faults...I kept missing my weave poles entries and even jumped off the dog walk, which I never do. I guess I was moving too fast. Tucker had some nice runs but was knocking bars.

Sunday proved to be a better day for Tucker as he earned his first Open Standard Q with a clean run and under time. Mom was very excited as Tucker has been in Open Standard for over 2 years now. I had some nice runs, and even got a weave pole entry, but came home without any ribbons. Mom did say I was running well and took some of the blame for my errors, but she did think I should have done better on my weave pole entries.

Hoping for better results at our next show in November.

Well, we had a banner weekend at the JAG CPE trial. I Q'd in all 7 events that I ran, wtih First Places finishes in all. Tucker Q'd 4 of 7 events with 3 First Places and a Second Place.

I earned my CTL3-R (Regular) title and Tucker earned his CL2-H  (Handlers) title. These being our first CPE titles.

The big news is that Logan, in his first agility show, Q'd in his first 2 events, Jumpers and Standard, with Fourth Place finishes. His standard run was beautiful. Course time was 48 seconds and he ran it in 28.25 seconds. Mom is really going to have to get in shape to keep up with Logan.

Of course Sunday was a different story. Logan's first run was in the rain, which is new to him, and he did not cue. His last run, he decided to go visit the photographer, just before the last obstacle. He went so far as to jump over the fencing to follow her as she tried to be invisible. I guess we need to have people in the ring and along side the ring at practice, to nip this in the bud.

All in all it was a spectacular weekend!!!!

Finally, Logan was running in his first agility show. Mom was very apprehensive, expecting the zoomies. Well, Logan Q'd in his first run, Jumpers AND Q'd in his Standard run with a Fourth and Third place respectively. Who would have thought that our crazy younger brother would Q his first time competing. He's also a lot faster then me and Tucker, the SCT for his Std run was 48 seconds, he ran in in under 29 seconds....MOm is really going to have to get in shape to keep up with Logan.

Overall, amongst us we Q'd 7 out of 8 runs....tomorrow is another day and we have a combined 11 runs. Check back tomorrow to see how we do.
